Picture
Douglas completed his bachelor’s degree at Northwest Nazarene University, of Nampa, Idaho, in 2015. He then attended the University of Idaho College of Law, where he received his juris doctorate, cum laude, in 2018.

During his time at the University of Idaho, College of Law, Douglas was the Chief Articles Editor for the Idaho Law Review. He spent the summer between his second and third years of law school as an intern for the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill, Chief District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Idaho. During Douglas' third year, he was a legal intern for Idaho’s District 16 State Senator, Grant Burgoyne, and did contract work for a local law firm, practicing under a limited license.

Douglas joined Hamilton, Michaelson & Hilty, LLP, in the fall of 2018. He was made a partner of the firm in 2023, and he was a founding member of Hilty, Bower, Haws & Seable, PLLC, when it was established in 2024.

Douglas is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of Idaho. His primary areas of practice include Municipal Law; Land Use; Employment Law; Business Formation, Operations, and related Transactions; Probate; and General Civil Litigation.

As a 5th generation Idahoan and Canyon County resident, Douglas is excited to be back in the community he calls home. Outside of work, Douglas enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, reading, and playing music.
